Wedding Clothes / Outfits for Guests
There a few key pointers we can give you to start off - before showing you somethings we really like!- Female wedding guests are typically not supposed to wear white dress to a wedding. That's the bride's domain! However, if it's a summer wedding and fashion that year dictates that white dresses are all the rage - then just ensure it's simple and won't attract too much attention.
- Again, 'typically', guests should not wear black at a wedding - after all, that is usually reserved for another ceremony. But if you have a little black number you're desperate to wear, then brighten it up with a flash of colour.
- MAJOR TIP: Don't upstage the bride!
- Hats - these aren't the necessity they once were. Usually now just left to close family of the Bride and Groom. If you do go for a hat, again ensure it won't steal the limelight or block the view of everyone sat behind you in the church. Try a pretty hair decoration - lighter than a hat but just as special.
- Guys - find out in advance how 'formal' the do is. You may be able to judge this by the choice of venue - check out the website. This will let you know whether a tie is a 'must' or not.
